Feel Heard

it doesn’t have to feel like this

It takes a lot of courage to ask for help. We commend you for taking this step and reaching out for added support at this time. We recognize individual differences and are happy to tailor therapy to meet your needs.

We work with children, teens, and adults to help them address day-to-day struggles and various symptoms of concern. These include anxiety, trauma, stress, changes in mood, depression, ADHD, anger, grief, life transitions, and even daily struggles that are negatively impacting your well-being. Appropriate therapeutic approaches will be determined based on assessment of individual need.

We use a variety of play-based therapeutic approaches when working with children and adolescents, including EMDR, Theraplay, and traditional play therapy. These therapies are effective in targeting a range of behaviors and difficulties. We have worked with kids on symptoms of anxiety, attachment, trauma, sensory difficulties, life transitions, and family interactions.

We also have specific experience working with adopted children, many of which have past experiences of trauma and neglect that have impacted their symptoms. With a variety of approaches, we can work together to alleviate these symptoms and help the child create more joy and happiness.

Through our experiences in working with parents of children with special needs, we can provide parent support and education through family therapy. We have training in TBRI, Trust-Based Relational Intervention, which is an attachment-based approach to working with children, specifically those who have experienced trauma. Including parents in the therapeutic process is essential to change, but is also important in order to help provide support to parents as they navigate these changes.

We do offer both online and in-person services at this time. We are happy to chat with you about these options.

We offer a free phone consultation to provide a safe and confidential space for you to briefly discuss your desire to begin or continue therapy. During the call, you will have the opportunity to share any information that you would like the therapist to know before beginning as well as to determine if you think you and the therapist will be a good fit. The therapist will answer any questions you might have and walk you through the first steps of therapy. At the end of this consultation, you can decide if you would like to move forward with scheduling an appointment or take some time to think about the decision.
